We created this smoothie as a quick, refreshing juice blend to fortify our immune systems before plane rides and group activities. Combining the antioxidant benefits of blueberries with a immunity boosting power of vitamin C was just the start. We then threw in organic spinach greens and fiber for extra potency and simply blended it in our blender.
Psssst – This is also a sneaky way to get your kids eat – and love – their spinach as a part of their favorite juice.
As you can see below, the ingredients just get combined together in the high torque blender. Add the lid, blend and you’re done.
- 2 Oranges, peeled
- 1 Cup frozen organic blueberries
- 1 Cup/handful of fresh organic greens
- 1 Cup water or juice
- 1 tsp fiber (optional)
- Combine ingredients in the blender. Blend for about 1 minute.
The taste of spinach is pretty nonexistent; however, if it is noticeable, use more blueberries or substitute juice for water and you won’t taste it (at least we can’t).
You can also add fresh flax seeds to this recipe for a burst of Omega 3s. However, we recommend adding them only if you have a high torque blender that can blend small items
