Perfect in the summer or winter, this berry crisp warms the heart and satisfies your cravings!

Don’t let the title fool you – this recipe can be made any time of year. Depending on your region, however, you may have to use frozen berries instead of fresh.

This recipe makes 4 adorable individual servings, perfect for a family or an intimate dinner party. By using gluten-free flour and cereal, you end up with crunch and flavor without the gluten.   The recipe can be made with berries such as blueberries, cherries or any other summer berry with a similar texture. Ingredients
  • Crisp Topping
  • ½ C. gluten-free flour
  • 1 t. ground cardamom
  • ½ C. sugar
  • ¾ C. combination of chopped pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
  • ¾ C. ground Perky’s Crunchy Flax Original Cereal
  • ⅓ C. shortening
  • Berry Filling
  • 18 oz. mixed berries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 t. tapioca starch
  • 1 T. fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ C. sugar
